Golf Driver Tips-The Truth Revealed!

David B Lee asked:

There are many golf driver tips online, but the one aspect that not many discuss is YOU the player. What do i mean by that?.Well the only thing that works long term is working on your personal golf fitness.Think about it for a moment,at present you own one fitness level, anything that requires more exertion cannot be achieved.

Regardless of how many golf balls you hit, or lessons you take.Remember one thing if you want to increase the distance to your drives you will need to excert yourself that bit more to reach that level. There are no quick fixes to improving your golf game,Now i am not saying that all products on the market are of poor quality, far from it, with the correct discipline and a long term view many of these training aids and books will improve your game tremendously, providing that you are prepared to put the necessary work in up front to improve your stamina and fitness.

Remember hitting the ball further than you do at present requires an increase in the clubhead speed.Period! To achieve this you must strengthen your core rotation and flexibility.Without doubt your core is the power behind every swing you take. When you consider what the potential behind a regular exercise routine will have on your game, why wouldn’t you improve this area first, rather than purchasing expensive lessons.

A quick exercise for you to implement now!

The benefits with this exercise is that you can do it at home. While sitting in your favourite chair, cross your arms in front of your chest, sit up tall and vertical. Now your head needs to be in a fixed position, rotate your body to the right and then left slowly(don’t over do it at first). If it’s painful it should be,this brings me back to the point i made earlier, extra effort equals extra power in your drive.

When your body feels like it is loosening up,speed up the process. If you have time i recommend doing this 20 to 30 times. The next time you are on that golf course you will feel better for your efforts.

Simply cross your arms in front of your chest. Now sit up tall and erect. Then keeping your head in a fixed position, rotate your body to the right and then left slowly. See how far you can go. As you feel a loosening of the core, increase the speed, rotating faster and faster. Do this at least 20 or 30 times when you get the opportunity and I guarantee you’ll feel better for it.

♥lilliebeanxx asked:

My boyfriend is a golfer, and I love taking pictures of him while he is playing. Sometimes they don’t turn out so great, though. I was wondering if anyone has tips for taking better action-shots of him, or just in general?
(I know Golf isn’t the most fast-paced sport in the world, but i mean when he swings, etc.)

I have a Cannon Powershot, he has a Nikon Coolpix, and we can’t afford to purchase a new, better camera…

I want to surprise my husband with a set of clubs, but I don’t know the first thing about golf.

In the most dumbed-down way you can, can someone explain what clubs HAVE to be in a set (bare necessities) and which ones are just nice-to-have additional clubs that we can buy later when we have more money?

Golf Driving Tips – Discover How to Drive the Golf Ball Farther and Straighter

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

Jason M Paulsone asked:

Hitting the driver well is one of the most difficult skills to learn and master in the game of golf. It is obviously very important when it comes to shooting lower scores to hit your drives straight and with distance. Golf courses are getting longer so it becomes important to develop good distance with your driver otherwise it can be difficult to shoot good scores if you are always faced with long approach shots into par 4 holes. Here are a few tips that can help you to hit this club farther and straighter.

Tip 1: Learn To Use Leverage

It is not necessary to have big muscles in order to drive the ball a long distance. In fact if you check even the PGA Tour you will see many thin players that hit the ball very far. The reason for this is that they have learned to use leverage. The angle that is created between the club and your left hand is what you need to look at.

The idea is to hold this angle as long as possible, however trying to force yourself to hold this angle seldom works and results in a poor golf swing. A more automatic way to hold this angle as long as possible is to think of the golf club as a whip and feel yourself whipping the club as you swing.

Another good way to create this leverage is by starting your downswing with a shift with your hip towards the target. This helps to store more energy in the club so that it is released at the last moment just before impact.

Tip 2: Swing Within Your Limits

Most people when they try to hit their drives far they focus on swinging as hard as possible and using as much energy as they can. In fact the opposite tends to work the best. If you really want to hit the ball far you are better off focusing on swinging freely and under control. If you are always losing balance then this is a sign that maybe you are trying too hard so you need to back off a little.

By swinging the club comfortably you will also increase the chances of making good contact and launching the ball with the right kind of spin and trajectory which will help you much more when it comes to hitting it far and straight. Focus on accuracy and you will find that in time the distance will naturally follow.

Tip 3: Trust Your Swing On The Golf Course

It is important to not think about swing mechanics when you are on the golf course and instead you need to focus on your targets and keep your target in mind as you swing the club. You must trust your swing otherwise you will never develop real consistency in your golf game. Even if you hit your last drive out of bounds or in the lake you must believe that the next drive will go straight and far right down the middle of the fairway.

Spend enough time on the practice range working on your mechanics and then focus on trusting your swing when you are on the course. Trusting your swing will allow you make better golf swings which means you will strike the ball more solidly and launch your drives with the right kind of spin and trajectory. Almost anyone can drive the ball far as long as they focus on accuracy and staying within their limits.

Simple Golf Tips: How to Lengthen Your Swing

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Ethan Parker asked:

What better way to take out some frustration and enjoy a beautiful day than with a round of golf?

And doesn’t it feel great when you see improvement in your golf game and start lowering your score?  Even better, how good does it feel to win and beat someone good!

I’ve strived for that, and I know the importance of a good mental golf game and strong fundamentals.  So that’s why I want to help you.

For you golf enthusiasts and amateurs out there, learning proper golf swing mechanics is not only important but, if you take golf seriously and want to play on a whole different level, it’s essential.

So, to get you going, I’ve included some information from a course I’ve found very helpful in improving my golf swing, named Simple Golf Tips.  Your game should improve by simply incorporating this unique setup  routine below and position to every swing you take.

As you will see, this system really is simple. You’ll see positive results from this first chapter, but I want to be clear that this is not the complete system. There’s a lot more to this swing than a sound setup!

I recommend Simple Golf Tips for 3 reasons:

1. I truly enjoy helping people, and only recommend courses that actually WORK. If you prefer not to purchase the entire system, that’s fine. In fact, if you even learn one thing at all from the tips below, then I’ve succeeded.

2. To show you that this book includes unique material that is new and changing the way thousands of people swing the club. It’s not just a bunch of stuff that you already know.

3. To show you that this system really is step-by-step, and that you will be guided through the complete swing in the same easy-to-understand manner.

You’ll be pleased to find out that golf CAN be a simple game, and that YOU CAN significantly drop your handicap in just 1 short week. The “Golf Swing Guru” who produces this course guarantees it with a 90-day, money back, no B.S. return policy–and he sticks to it. Most courses I review do.  And most courses actually only offer a 60-day return policy, so the fact that this guy offers 90 days and will not back from it, is pretty dang impressive.

Hope you enjoy it.

Golf Tips to Help You Reduce Your Handicap Quickly

Monday, February 8th, 2010
golf tips
Kenneth Gorveski asked:

There are many factors to consider if you want to get better at the game of golf. Practice is one of the most important elements so do not think you can become a low handicap player without any practice. However this does not mean you need to spend hours and hours at the range every day. If you practice smart then you can get better without having to sacrifice too much time on the game. Spending enough time on the short game is very important as it is critical in order to lower your handicap. Here are some key tips to keep in mind to help you improve:

Tip 1: Learn the short game first

Learning how to putt and hit shots around the greens is an important step in helping you to get better at this game faster. Take a few lessons initially if you have to in order to learn a specific putting technique. One of the keys with putting is to pick one main mechanical approach and then to stay with that through thick and thin making small changes along the way to fine tune your stroke. The problem with constantly changing putting styles is that your body is never given the chance to learn and get used to one technique so you will not be as good as you can be.

Do not forget to take some time before each round to hit some practice shots around the greens like chips, flops and bunker shots. These short shots around the green can really help to lower your scores quite rapidly. Practice really is the biggest key in getting better at these shots so be sure to take the time to learn them if you find that you tend to struggle getting up and down.

Tip 2: Practice smart

Most golfers do not use their practice time in the best manner possible. They either spend too much time on the wrong clubs or too little time to give themselves a chance to get better. Be sure to allocate appropriate time amounts on the short game and the long game. Also stay focused mentally on each shot and go through your routine so you can develop greater consistency in your game. There are essentially two mental approaches you can take when practicing and they are being in the training mentality or in the trusting mentality. You want to spend most practice sessions working in the trusting mentality as that is where you need to be on the course in order to play your best.

It is also important to learn to listen to your body because if you practice too much you will experience major fatigue and exhaustion so learn to back off once in a while especially if you are a low handicap player. Physical strength and flexibility are key components to good golf so be sure to stretch appropriately before each workout and also be sure to implement some type of strength training program into your life so that you are building strong muscles which will make the game a lot easier.
